Day 9 - 9th January 2015 - The List

Oooh, am feeling the excitement now! Bag is almost packed. Have done Qi Gong and Pranayama this morning, and am making some phone calls, finishing packing, and waiting for my food to digest so I can go for a run. Will be in transit for about 19 hours all up tomorrow, so want to really move my body today!

Do you make lists when you are preparing to go away? Just as we make lists for travelling, shopping, daily planning etc, one really important way to declutter your mind is to make a List of all the jobs that have been nagging at you for ages or for a short time, big or small. This encompasses all things, not just practical stuff. Contacting people where there was once a misunderstanding may be one item for this List. Letting go of a project that you started years ago and never finished is another (or completing it if it is really of use to you).

Start working through the List and either eliminate the item once you have done it, or let go of the need for doing it (if you realise it is no longer allied with your goals/purpose, or necessary at that time). The List can sometimes seem daunting, but once you commit to it, you will be surprised how freeing it is - a letter here, a phone call there, a button sewn on, something thrown away.......

Attend to your List every day, and you will soon experience progress, as your mind becomes freer to focus on things that are truly important to you.
